General FAQs
Our General FAQs page offers answers to a wide range of questions about Archway Academy. Whether you’re seeking information on our programs, recovery support, academic offerings, or general inquiries about our school, this resource is here to help.
We cover topics such as our mission, partnerships, student life, and the unique aspects of our recovery-focused education.
A: As defined by the National Association of Recovery Schools (ARS), of which Archway Academy is a member, a sober high school must “meet state requirements for awarding a secondary school diploma” and be “designed specifically for students recovering from substance use.” This includes requiring that all enrolled students be in recovery and working a program of recovery approved by the school.
Sober schools are also prepared through policies, protocols, and the hiring of qualified personnel to address the needs of students in crises, whether therapeutic or other.
