SPROM - MAY 1ST, 2026
A prom built for teens in recovery — and proud of it.
SPROM is Archway Academy’s annual celebration for teens navigating recovery and mental health challenges. Every student deserves a night to remember. This is theirs.
Student Events
Every student deserves a night to remember — including teens in recovery.
SPROM is Archway Academy's version of a traditional high school prom, reimagined for teens navigating recovery and mental health challenges. It's a joyful, safe celebration — complete with dancing, photos, light bites, and the kind of peer connection that is itself a powerful part of healing.
This year's theme is Masquerade: an evening of elegance, mystery, and community where every student steps into the night they've earned. No pressure, no substances, no compromise — just one incredible night.

The Experience
What to expect at SPROM.
SPROM is designed to give every student the full prom experience — themed, memorable, and built entirely around their wellbeing.
DJ & Dancing
A DJ-led dance floor and a fully energetic atmosphere. Students celebrate the night together in a completely sober, judgment-free environment.
Photo Ops
Beautifully styled photo moments and Masquerade décor. Students get the memories they deserve — dressed up, masked up, and proud.
Light Bites & Refreshments
Curated food and drinks to keep the energy up all night. Everything is delicious, everything is sober.
Fellowship & Community
Recovery staff, clinicians, and APG peers are present throughout the evening — not to police, but to celebrate. Students enjoy the night surrounded by people who understand their journey.
A Truly Safe Space
Zero substances, zero pressure, zero judgment. SPROM is designed from the ground up to honor students' recovery journeys and mental health — not to test them.
Masquerade Theme
This year's SPROM goes behind the mask. Dress up, show out, and celebrate who you are becoming. The theme is Masquerade — elegant, mysterious, and entirely your own.
Open to All Teens in Recovery
You don't have to be an Archway student to attend.
SPROM is open to all teens in recovery — including students from other schools and recovery programs across Houston. If you or someone you know is navigating substance use disorder or mental health challenges and deserves a night to celebrate their progress, SPROM is for them.
We believe recovery is worth celebrating. We believe mental wellness is worth honoring. And we believe every teen in Houston who is doing the hard work of getting well deserves a night that says: you belong here, and we're proud of you.
